Hideo Sugiura

After a successful stint in Morgan Stanley Japan as the manager of the structured cabling group, Hideo Sugiura set out on his own to found a consulting firm, RSI K.K., providing IT solutions and infrastructure management; Morgan Stanley was also his first client.

Sugiura has more than 16 years of international consulting experience. He has taken on a wide range of projects both large and small. While RSI focuses on project management, consulting services for data center selection, and operations management, Sugiura has also personally taken on projects for an international bank in Thailand, and office relocation for Fortune 500 companies including Microsoft. His unusually broad range of successes has made him the go-to guy for major Japanese companies as well as international firms with presence in Japan.

Hideo Sugiura is a member of SC39 in Japan, and an active member of the Japan Data Center Council. He is actively engaged in ISO data center standardization, public eco initiatives for the Tokyo government, and is a certified Project Management Professional.
