Head of Data Center Operations at Sky

Riccardo is currently Head of Data Center Operations at Sky UK where he is responsible for the day to day running of the DC Estate across the UK and its strategic long term direction. He began his career in the IT industry as a programmer, and in late 1999 he worked for Redbus Interhouse Italy SpA as Head of operations for the construction and subsequent operation of new data center in Milan. Since then, Riccardo has been involved in several design and build projects for companies like TelecityGroup (now Equinix), Rackspace and Sky in the UK. He has extensive experience in DC Operations, People management and IT in general and is passionate about Energy Efficiency.
