Richard van Oppen

Managing Consultant/ Project Manager (Owner) at InTechMa BV

Following a stint as a 4th Engineer on reefer vessels, in 1989 Richard van Oppen began work as a HVAC technician at a small Dutch consultancy company. Later, graduating in ‘HVAC and Building Installations’, he was employed by several major Dutch HVAC contractors as a project manager and MT member.

In 1995 he started the independent project and consultancy company ‘InTechMA BV’, which over the years has specialized in complex HVAC installations for cleanrooms and data centers.

He has written and delivered training on the “practical and efficient design of HVAC installations” for Imtech BS Kerkrade, and has written a whitepaper on ‘energy efficiency in existing data centers’.

Active in the cleanroom and data center industry since 1990, Richard has designed, implemented and project managed the upgrade of telecom switches to TIER3 and TIER4 specifications – without any downtime and within timeframe and budget.
